Thanks for stopping by!

I’m Tara, a curious and impassioned UX designer & architectural designer from San Francisco, CA.

For over 12 years, I’ve studied/practiced architectural design, working on buildings at small- to large-scale. It has trained me to inspect a problem from multiple angles in order to discover diverse solutions and always be ready for inspiration to hit from unexpected places.

Why did I transition to product & UX design? The transition from 3D spatial user experiences to 2D digital UX was intuitive and seamless. I wanted to pursue design problems beyond the built environment and delve into other everyday human challenges, many of which are solved with digital tools. What drives my passion is anticipating the positive social impact of my design work beyond the screen.

I’m looking to eventually find the golden crossover of Architecture & UX Design in order to ease the world’s challenges.

Enough about work.

What else might I be doing?

I love vegetables. You’ll find me selling veggies at a local farmers market in San Francisco on the weekends

Education is power. I began tutoring students as a side-gig…but I secretly do it to keep my own brain sharp

I travel the world to ogle architectural marvels. I have a goal of visiting as many ancient sites as possible in my life

I am a trained bharatanatyam (South Indian classical) dancer, and now pursue various other styles of dance

Every month since 2012, I make a new Spotify playlist to keep my ears learning fresh tunes

And if I’m not doing any of the above, I might be doodling… :)
